Draycott Srl operates in the renewable natural gas space with a mandate to develop a European biomethane platform, focusing on the full lifecycle of biomethane, from project development and acquisition, through construction, plant operation and platform management.
Draycott is funded and owned by Azora Capital - a real assets investment firm based in Spain, founded in 2003, with €15n of assets under management in Europe and the US.
The key aim of the role is to develop an internal finance & control function to serve a rapidly growing asset base as the company deploys capital, as well as to respond to the reporting requirements of external stakeholders and Azora Management. The candidate will also be involved in other company activities as appropriate to their skills and interests.
Responsibilities

Interpretation and analysis of the financial statements of the companies, as well as supervision of accounting records and tax.
Assistance in the preparation of monthly financial reports for Azora Management, interpreting and presenting the financial data of each company.
Supervision and monitoring of the financial statements (accounting) of each company.
Preparation of individual and consolidated quarterly and annual financial statements.
Assistance in the preparation and supervision of budgets and cash flow projections for each of the companies.
Management and supervision of contracts and supporting documentation within each company.
Coordination and collaboration with external accountants, auditors and advisors.
Support the investment team, particularly in corporate finance operations - mergers and acquisitions, bank financing, capital increases, dividends, etc.
Other activities could include: project & supplier management, logistics, operational scaling, performance monitoring & optimisation.

Requirements

3+ years in a financial control function, preferably with prior audit experience in a Big Four firm.
Strong accounting knowledge (knowledge of the IFRS accounting standards is a plus).
Experience in the preparation and supervision of financial reporting.
Experience in organizing and monitoring external audits.
Degree in Business Administration or Economics (Master of Finance or Auditing and Accounting is a plus).
Native-level Italian, and professional-Level English required for report preparation and communication with various stakeholders (Spanish proficiency a plus).
Advanced Excel skills.

It is essential that the applicant be very proactive and be ready to work independently with minimum supervision, though assistance is always available from a great team of experienced colleagues.
