Position: Financial Accountant
You will be part of the GBS Unit and Tax Reporting team for Italy, providing support in all aspects of day-to-day financial control, corporate, tax, and statutory reporting.
Responsibilities:

Ensure compliance with IFRS, local GAAP, and group requirements; coordinate monthly closing and reporting; present and discuss monthly results with stakeholders.
Assist in ensuring compliance with VAT, WHT, and direct tax regulations.
Handle group reporting in IFRS to the Corporate Finance department in Cognos.
Lead asset register and project cost accounting to ensure data accuracy and relevance.
Prepare, approve, and submit statutory reports.
Generate statistical reports for external agencies.
Support the creation of start-up entities and cost allocation to projects.
Maintain the internal control framework.
Assist the Head of Reporting Italy, Finance Business Partner, and Group Finance in cash planning, forecasting, and budgeting.
Handle ad hoc queries and coordinate reporting with other departments.
Support business controllers in analyzing monthly results.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in accounting and/or auditing.
Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in multinational companies or accounting consulting firms.
Experience in the renewable energy industry is a plus.
Knowledge of IFRS and Italian LGAAP.
Proficiency with ERP systems (SAP), especially RE-FX (desirable).
Strong skills in Excel and MS Office.
Knowledge of tax returns, especially Italian tax returns, is a plus.
Fluent in Italian and English.
