The Role
We are expanding our team and are looking for a Field Support Engineer, based in Italy (Milan area), ready to deliver high-quality technical support to our European customers.
This is a hybrid office/home office position with a strong field-support component—a dynamic role ideal for those who enjoy travelling, solving technical challenges, and building strong customer relationships.
Your Responsibilities

Deliver excellent customer support both remotely and on‑site.
Perform annual maintenance, emergency repairs, and firmware/hardware upgrades.
Accurately document all interventions according to ISO quality guidelines using our online CRM system.
Independently organise travel within Italy and Europe, optimising time and cost.
Work closely with the European team, including regular training trips to our UK support centre.
Support customers throughout Europe, with a focus on Italy, Central Europe, and the Nordic regions.

Requirements

Experience in biomedical, mechanical or electrical fields, with strong mechanical aptitude.
Biological background preferred; experience in cytogenetics a strong asset.
Fluent in English, with excellent written communication skills.
Minimum 2 years’ relevant experience in a technical or field‑based role.
Strong problem‑solving skills, autonomy, initiative, and a collaborative mindset.
Proficiency with MS Office and remote support applications.
Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Clean and valid driving licence.
