Select how often (in days) to receive an alert: Create AlertThe Field Service Engineer is responsible for performing technical service and support on Agfa and third-party products for customers and internal staff. The role also emphasizes customer relationship management, supporting sales activities, and ensuring customer satisfaction.You will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, maintenance, and servicing of inkjet equipment, requiring strong technical problem-solving skills and excellent customer service.This position requires a customer-focused attitude at all times, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Good interaction skills with colleagues, customers, and third-party trades are essential, along with clear communication on technical matters due to the customer-facing nature of the role.Responsibilities:Repair and maintain customer equipment effectively and efficiently.Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on Agfa products.Troubleshoot Agfa and third-party products, both on-site and remotely, including repair and replacement.Execute Break & Fix primarily within the zone, but also regionally, on-site and remotely.Carry out pre-installations and installations.Support installation teams or lead installations as responsible person.Assist customers in the field.Support internal and external customers with technical questions and issues, on-site and remotely.Escalate problems to 2nd and 3rd tier support when necessary.Assist R&D and HQ in problem-solving and risk analysis.Stay updated on equipment portfolio through training, both domestically and abroad.Ensure high-quality service delivery to customers.Maintain good relationships with customer-facing teams.Work independently while maintaining team spirit and sharing knowledge.Document and report technical issues as needed.Ensure proper logging and closure of support calls.Complete administrative tasks related to the role.Identify opportunities for up-selling Agfa services and products, passing opportunities to sales.Requirements:University degree in Electronic Engineering or a related field.Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar role.Knowledge of Digital Print Technology.Ability to fault-find basic electronics to component level with strong analytical skills.Proficiency with Office IT Applications (MS Word, Excel, email, etc.).Valid local driving license.Status: This job posting is active.
