Together, we pursue a shared mission to create a more sustainable future.Job DescriptionThe Field Service Engineer or Field Service Representative (FSR) will be responsible for providing on-site technical customer service. This position will include chemistry tests, chemical feed and control equipment maintenance, chemical inventory management, technical recommendations, and written service reports. This is a customer facing position.Main ResponsibilitiesEnsure compliance with all aspects of safety on the job – including the operation and maintenance of an assigned company vehicle – and comply with all VEOLIA Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) policies and Italian lawsInstall and service chemical feed and water treatment and chemical feed equipment at designated locationsAct as technical consultant and liaison with customer management and technical counterpartsPerform water analysis and / or collect samples for preparation, labeling and shipment to designated laboratory for analysisWork with PLC controls, understands water process treatment design, and repairs pumps, instruments and control panelsConduct preventive maintenance and calibrates feed pumps, controllers, feed rate charts and maintain log sheetsMaintain inventory of spare parts (lube oil, tubing, and piping), and adequate supply of reagents, sample containers, and shipment containers necessary for routine as well as special sampling and analysisTravel to customer sites and perform preventive maintenance and related servicesTroubleshoot and repairs pumps, instruments and control panels. Calibrate feed pumps, controllers, feed rate charts and maintain log sheets. Conduct preventative maintenance on chemical feed pumps, controllers and instrumentation.Work closely with Sales to provide insight into new instrument and new service opportunities as well as upsell service and consumables at existing customer sites based on needWork frequently in a heavy industrial environment requiring use of Personal Safety Equipment and exposure to noise, dust, chemicals and other similar irritants typical of those found in refinery, chemical plants, power plants, etc…Optimize system performanceDrives Value Generation Plan on assigned customerResponsible for efficient week planning, service optimization & time spend vs contractQualificationsQualifications / RequirementsBachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Engineering or similarPossession of driving license required (license B)Ability and willingness to travel regularly within assigned territory, at times requiring overnight stay, as requiredDesired CharacteristicsAt least six months of relevant work experience (e.g. internships, training, initial professional experience)Proven time management and organizational skills to quickly identify and prioritize issuesCreate solutions and meet deadlinesAbility to exercise independent judgment consistent with department guidelinesMaintain workflow and anticipate future needs of the teamSelf-motivated, with the ability to drive projects to completion with minimal oversightTeam player with strong interpersonal skills, capable of working within a globally diverse team across different time zonesEffective benefit-oriented presentation skills.Appreciated previous experience abroad (e.g. studies, practical experience, work & travel)Passion for our water treatmentsInitiative, willingness to change, team spirit and self-reflectionAdditional InformationAs an inclusive company, Veolia is committed to diversity and gives equal consideration to all applications, without discrimination.
