As part of the Gas Power One Field Services team, FieldCore installs, maintains, and upgrades power generation equipment, enabling operators of the world’s energy infrastructure to provide more reliable and affordable energy.Let’s Talk about the RoleYou will start by being enrolled in FieldCore’s Field Engineering Program (FEP). During the FEP, you will develop technical expertise, lean thinking, and leadership skills. This includes in-person and online training, as well as on-the-job learning from experienced Technical Field Advisors.You will gain hands-on experience and grow your career while traveling to provide power to communities worldwide. Upon successful graduation, you will be eligible for a Technical Field Advisor position working on Steam Turbines.As a Technical Field Advisor for Steam Turbines, you will manage site activities including planning, organizing, and monitoring resources such as labor, tools, and technical assistance.You will make decisions, resolve complex issues, and perform hands-on maintenance of Steam Turbines and some Gas Turbines at customer power plants.How You Will Make a DifferenceMaintain a strong safety mindset to ensure work complies with GE safety standards.Manage, coordinate, and monitor site activities.Lead and manage on-site systems and equipment, including preventive maintenance, repair, and calibration.Respond to emergency repairs and troubleshoot equipment issues.Provide technical instructions and ensure work meets company standards.Write technical reports, job status updates, and customer reports timely and accurately.Drive customer satisfaction through quality work.Perform walk-downs to verify contractor and personnel compliance with standards.Manage aftermarket upgrades at the site.Special Role RequirementsWilling to travel extensively overseas for projects and field assignments.Willing to work holidays, weekends, and overtime as required.Ability to spend significant time away from home for training and assignments.Skills for SuccessFluency in English, strong technical competence, and a passion for engineering are essential.
