We are developing new business opportunities and partnerships with tier one’s and OEM’s using high voltage to 48 volt architectures and 48V to 12V systems where electrification trends require Vicor’s world class 48V IP for higher efficiency, high power density, lower overall cost, lighter weight and higher performing vehicles.Position:The main responsibility of the FAE position is to proactively support Vicor power solutions into various market opportunities incl.· High Performance ComputingThis involves coordination with Business Development Managers, Account Managers, Internal Business Partner while providing pre-and post-Sales technical support including product selection based on the customer’s application needs, product introduction and DIN assistance from an electrical, mechanical and thermal aspect, and troubleshooting customer systems if required.Articulate technology, power architectures, and product positioning to both business and technical usersBusiness /Relationship development focused onDirect – business development done directly with customers and their technical communityDistribution – business development done in conjunction with channel partners at target accountsCapture technical requirements and architecture of a customer’s system and act as the liaison to Product Line EngineersEstablish and maintain strong relationships throughout the sales cycle to the customer engineering staffSchematic review and project support on existing customer programsCoverage of incoming customer phone and e-mail technical inquiriesRegular customer visits requiring 30-50% travelPrepare content and conduct technical seminars and conferencesProvide product training to selected customers across the various segmentsAssist with hand-on product evaluations in local LABEnable Channel Demand Creation supporting the respective Organization byTechnically qualifying new opportunities and helping to increase the conversion rate from New Design identified to Design WinSupporting customers channel customer on technical issuesVisiting channel customers for application engineering supportVisiting Distribution Branch Offices for technical product trainings/presentationsQualifications, Experience and AttributesThe candidate must have a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or equivalent, a minimum of 5 years related experience in either analog/power supply design or analog-based applications engineeringGood understanding of analog circuit designs1st experience in dealing with distribution partnersSelf-motivated, hardworking, results orientated, problem solver focused on driving businessA high level of interpersonal skills, ability to present to audiencesMaintain a balance between short-term achievement and long-term developmentBusiness acumenFluent in written and spoken English and ItalianComputer literate incl. CRM System knowledge incl. Salesforce
