Responsibilities
manage R&D projects from ideation to market implementation in a multifunctional project team involving internal and external partners
manage and support an existing product portfolio related to quality, regulatory compliance, cost saving, supply chain and production initiatives
define the product specifications and required testing methods and testing plan for full technical product validation
contribute in idea creation activities to fill the innovations pipeline
monitor and create relevant Intellectual Property for the product portfolio
Additional Responsibilities
align with and update the R&D Director on resources, key project milestones and budget
plans and coordinates product testing to do technical claim support, benchmark & competitor analysis
manage and further develop Lab Technicians (where applicable)
prepares Service and Repair documents and spare part list from R&D point of view

Qualifications
Professional Experience and Education
Master in Science or Master in Engineering or equivalent job experience
fluent in written and verbal English
good knowledge of local site language (e.g. German/Chinese) is beneficial
experience in Project management with track record of successful projects
minimum 3-5 years’ experience in product development preferably in globally operating FMCG companies
Specific Knowledge
specific know-how in area of working (e.g. in textiles/plastics/metal/electronics)
ability to analyse patents and to evaluate potential for own IP
Specific Skills
creative and open mind, strong in analytical and strategic thinking, able to analyse and translate customer needs into innovations and new products
likes to work in an international / multi-cultural and multifunctional team
ability to work in a self-motivated way and to manage complex tasks effectively
good communication skills: able to communicate technical facts effectively to interdisciplinary project teams, to external parties and to present them to top management
