Overview
Location: North Italy (with travel across Germany and Eastern Europe)
Reports to: Sales Manager
Languages Required: Italian, English (mandatory); German (mandatory)
Travel Requirement: 70% of the time for the first few months, then around 50% of the time
Key Responsibilities
Apply a strategic sales plan to develop the assigned regions. Identify and pursue new business opportunities, generating leads and closing deals.
Maintain and nurture relationships with existing clients to ensure customer satisfaction and long-term partnerships.
Conduct client visits (70%-50% travel required) to present MES solutions and understand customer needs.
Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing and technical support, to feedback customer demands.
Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends and competitor activities.
Prepare regular reports and sales forecasts for the Sales Manager.
Participate in industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to expand brand visibility.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in B2B sales, preferably in industrial software or manufacturing technology.
Good understanding of MES solutions and industrial processes.
Fluency in Italian and English (mandatory); professional level in German is required.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and manage a complex sales cycle.
Willingness to travel extensively across assigned regions (50% of the time).
Strong reporting and analytical skills.
High degree of autonomy and ability to work with a remote team and manager.
Bachelor’s degree in business, or a related field is preferred; experience can replace a diploma.
