Joining us means joining a caring, responsible, and innovative company where more than 70,000 people lead the way to greener and smarter mobility, worldwide.JOB TITLEEPU ManagerPurpose of the JobThe purpose of the job is to manage all the manufacturing activities for a project(s) of an EPU (Elementary Production Unit) including the responsibilities linked to the position as hierarchical manager for all the operators of the manufacturing organization who belong to the EPU.ResponsibilitiesThe main responsibilities for project execution are:From LGR up to CGR, for the activity within the EPU contribute partially to Supply chain set up, Quality plan validation, industrialization activities. For manufacturing preparation of the activity within the EPU: responsible for requests for training & qualification of operators, requests for hiring (internal, external, temporary), requests & requirements for sub-contracting; responsible for the industrial process; hand-over from PME to manufacturing; APSYS deployment preparation; operators training (manufacturing & self-inspections).As of CGR up to FQA, responsible for the finalization of manufacturing preparation for activity within the EPU; the complete scope of manufacturing activities within the EPU, including task assignment to operators, intermediate handover (EPU level) including intermediate applied configuration (= as manufactured), self-inspections, dynamic checklist, NCR, rework, missing parts, waivers / deviations, incomplete operations.On time closing of work orders in MES; productive & non-productive hours booked in MES of all operators; APSYS deployment; SQCD performance for the activity in the EPU, and tracking the associated KPI; continuous improvement of SQCD performance; optimizations of the workstation / work center using APSYS Tools; issues management for the activity of the EPU; issues raised in MES on time; contribution to corrective action (QRQC); execution of changes to the product where applicable; contribution to 1st Train(s) / products; manufacturing feedback to support functions to improve SQCD performance.The main responsibilities as hierarchical manager of the operators belonging to an EPU (Elementary Production Unit) are:Responsible for time management (presence management and activity management) of all employees, and ensuring compliance with local legislation;Accountable for the time reconciliation;Responsible for continuously improving occupational safety, including that of contractors (if applicable) working for the EPU;Contribution to the development of the operators, including qualification matrix for product-related and technology-related processes, as well as general technological and personal qualification;Responsible for the PMC (People Management Cycle) as per local HR policy;Contribution to the application of corporate policies (EHS, IRIS, Ethics and Compliance, …).Main Required CompetencesEducational RequirementsMandatory :Secondary EducationEvery educational requirement can also be obtained by means of experienceDesirable :Technical DegreeExperienceMandatory :Previous position in an operational industrial environmentDesirable :Experience in Railway industry, preferably within an industrialization environmentExperienced worker in railway industryCompetencies & SkillsFunctional skillsProfound knowledge of… Special ProcessesWorking knowledge of… Industrial ManagementProcesses for industrials E2E, from Engineering to DeliveryManufacturing Processes and TechnologiesConfiguration & Change ManagementBasic awareness of… Automation / RobotizationGreenfield / Brownfield DevelopmentSite Facilities & MaintenanceTransfer of TechnologyErgonomicsTransversal skillsProfound knowledge of… Team Management including management of cross functional teamsEnvironment, Health & Safety (EHS) rules and regulationsLean Management tools, methods, ...Working knowledge of… Supply Chain / Quality processes and impact from manufacturing on themProducts KnowledgeApplicable Social Relations & Labor LawBasic awareness of… Finance / Sourcing processes and impact from manufacturing on themDigital & Analytics Tools for managing the manufacturing activities (KPI, …)Leadership skills requiredAGILE Dealing with uncertainty / Business Acumen / Innovative / Learning on the flyINCLUSIVE Building effective (virtual) teams / Listening and informing / Managing diversity / Understanding others with empathyRESPONSIBLE Customer focus (internal and external) / Integrity and ethics / Managerial courage / Managing with vision and purposeAlstom is the leading company in the mobility sector, solving the most interesting challenges for tomorrow’s mobility.
