Location : Portage Medical Center in Ravenna, OHSign-On Bonus : University Hospitals is offering a $1,000 sign-on bonus, minus applicable taxes, for full-time environmental service workers hired externally.OverviewThe Environmental Services Worker may work in any location on the client premises. Responsibilities include those listed below, but may vary by location based on business needs and client requirements.ResponsibilitiesPerform Environmental Services duties effectively, following the 7 Step Cleaning Process.Ensure a clean and comfortable environment for patients, visitors, and staff according to quality standards.Keep cleaning carts, equipment rooms, and trash areas organized and properly labeled.Maintain positive interactions with patients, families, visitors, and staff, assisting as needed.Use cleaning chemicals safely and properly per manufacturer standards.Clean offices, patient / resident rooms, classrooms, common areas, restrooms, halls, and food service areas.Sweep, mop, and vacuum hallways, stairs, and office spaces.Clean light fixtures, ceilings, vents, walls, mattresses, furniture, windows, and coverings.Empty trash containers and transport waste to outside compactor with sealed lids.Replenish supplies and materials as needed.Move furniture and set up tables and chairs.Report maintenance or repair needs to leadership.Follow all safety and risk management policies, report accidents or injuries promptly.Participate in safety meetings, training, and hazard assessments.Comply with OSHA and local safety requirements.Attend and complete required training programs.May handle Regulated Medical Waste and Chemo Waste, and change curtains as needed.Additional ResponsibilitiesPerform other duties as assigned.Adhere to all policies and standards.Maintain confidentiality and security of Protected Health Information (PHI), with training and policies in place.J-18808-Ljbffr
