Overview
The Anglo - Italian School, Montessori division is the first American Montessori school based in Naples. Founded in 1958 by a group on NATO parents, AIS is located in a secure setting on the former JFC NATO base and overlooks the Bay of Naples.
AIS Montessori follows an international and USA curriculum from preschool to 8th Grade, tailored using the best models of various international associations. International cooperation, cultural exchange and foreign languages are emphasized. All students are multilingual when they leave the school. Montessori for individual instruction and attention and ensure that each students reaches his or her full potential.
Position
Title : Main Teacher for Elementary / Middle School
Responsibilities

Educate children by planning and building a full educational program, that will help them develop not only an intellectual but also social and emotional growth, in accordance with the school’s policies and procedures.
Maintain effective classroom control, organization and management
Teach a full range of learning areas : Reading, Writing, Math, Geography etc.
Define and maintain good working habits and discipline in the classrooms, according to the school policies.
Establish a learning environment of serious scholarship and high expectations that supports students’ interests, talents, and needs.
Naturally embed cultural understanding into all classroom activities.
Employ techniques that stimulate critical (or divergent) thinking and problem solving.
Learn how to use Montessori material to enhance instruction.
Demonstrate a willingness and ability to model information, communication for students, colleagues, parents, and community.
Demonstrate a willingness and ability to continuously develop and evolve new skills and support colleagues in the development of their skills.
