Ensure customs compliance relative to the import and export of goods that are handled by the company in its regional activity.Define logistics solutions for export customers in compliance with Sold-to Export customer country’s regulations and requirements, aligning with the Logistics team to get to the required delivery date; liaise with sales and credit for proper payment solutions alignment and POF from order handling to delivery solution.Liaise with the 3rd Party Logistics partner, Export customer service, Demand and Supply Planning team, Sales Operations and European Field Engineers.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIESMonthly preparation and submission of the INTRASTAT declaration as per the dates set for by the Authorities – back up to CustomsMonthly and ad hoc review of Customs invoices as well as of Customs broker’s invoice face the activities covered on behalf of CarestreamHSE codes review and regular updatesMRN Clearance process for all shipping modes; MRN fulfillment for road transportation and process follow upReview formats of invoices and other accompanying transport documents face specific Customs RequirementsPrepare documents and other supporting material for Customs AuditsSupervise and fulfill Export declaration requirements as neededMaintain and update SOP (Standard Operating Procedures) relative to the above tasksDefine clear formats for the Logistics team to fulfill properly documentation required for Export customs clearanceWork in conjunction with our Customs brokers to ensure the bylaw required documents are properly archive and retain in our systemsManagement of documentation compilation, customs declaration review and data entry, with possible contact with customers for information verificationImport / export customs procedures managementMaintaining / obtaining international certificationsManagement and verification of the status of exportsControl and optimization of duties, follow up on required documentation by country of destination , such as CoC certificates, COO etc.Ensure the 3rd Party Logistics partner complies with legal requirements regarding export documentation and archivingMonitor legalization of documents with local authorities and 3rd Party Logistics partnerControl compliance to US export control law, sanction list and embargoed countriesIssue monthly customs declaration and duty data reportingProjects and continuous improvementsPOF measurements, SCLIT defects & root causes for quality improvement.Handle recurrent and critical issues within her / his area of responsibility and coordinate corrective and preventive action plansHandle projects in his / her area of responsibilityKEY / CRITICAL SKILLS & COMPETENCIESSelf-motivating individual with very good problem-solving skills, able to work as part of a team and on own initiative, proactively seeks best practices, able to work in a virtual teamManage effectively the information flow with the key operational contacts, internal and externalCustomer focused, able to work under time pressure to manage high volume of red emergency orders within short time frameCapable of cost-efficient working, of applying lean principles, and avoid over-structuringAble to support any unique situation, in respect of legal and required proceduresEfficient work management between daily routine activities, unplanned situations and projectsREQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCECertified Logistics specialist with 3-6 years in operational logistics functions and / or Supply Chain experienceExperienced knowledge of the main transport regulations and international import and export trade rulesExperienced knowledge of Import / Export compliance rules and regulationsStrong customs knowledge (Intrastat / Duty data)SAP intermediate to advanced user; Excel intermediate to advanced userAptitude for teamwork.Compliance Specialist • Genoa, Liguria, Italy
