The main objective is to expand and develop the supply base in line with business needs, continuously improving the quality level of the supplier base, reducing both escaping defects and associated Cost of Quality.All activities are connected with Suppliers and the various internal functions, i.e. Procurement, Engineering and Manufacturing.ResponsibilitiesAs Supplier Quality Engineer, you will be responsible forQualify SuppliersCarry out periodic audits to verify compliance with qualification requirementsPerform QMS audits and support suppliers’ on boardingExecute Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and define Corrective Actions (CA) in case of escaping defects to avoid reoccurrenceStimulate a Quality driven and Continuous Improvement mentality in supplier’s organization, with mutually trustful and proficient relationshipsManage effective communication with internal Baker Hughes stakeholders (e.g. Engineering, Procurement Buyers, Procurement Fulfillment Managers, Project Managers, Project Quality Managers, Project Engineers, etc.)Manage on the job inspections according to the Quality Control PlansManage Supplier Deviation Requests (SDR)Manage Supplier’s related Non-Conformity Records (NCR-CCM)QualificationsDegree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent work experienceWork experience and/or technical knowledge in manufacturing of electrical systems (motors, panels, etc..).Have proven experience in acting and driving corrective action with suppliersStructured data driven mindsetIntellectual rigor-accuracyEffective problem-solving abilitiesAttitude to set aggressive targets and challenge status quoCommunication skills both internally with different functions and externally with suppliersFluency in English and ItalianBe able to travel (up to 30%) domestic and internationallyEU Work PermitKnowledge of FMEA methodologyGood negotiating skillsBe results driven and self-directingKnowledge of Baker Hughes IET productsSix Sigma understandingKnowledge of ISO 9001:2015Work patterns• Working remotely from home or any other work location (up to 30%)• Working flexible hours - flexing the times when you work in the day to help you fit in everything in and work when you are the most productiveOur people are at the heart of what we do at Baker Hughes.
