Join to apply for the Drying Center of Excellence Manager role at BOBST.1 day ago Be among the first 25 applicants.The Drying Center of Excellence Manager aims to become the technology leader for drying across Bobst Group.Drying processes are fundamental in many industries we serve, including Flexible Packaging (drying of printing inks, lacquers, and coatings, both solvent- and water-based), and Corrugated board and folding carton (drying of printing inks).Technologies range from hot air dryers, the most common today, to Infrared dryers in some applications.The Manager must study, analyze, and understand the physics of drying, interactions with chemistry of coatings and inks, and energy involved in the process. The role also emphasizes the industry’s sustainability goals, focusing on optimizing energy consumption and reducing CO2 footprint.The Manager will liaise with Product Lines within Bobst Group, the R&D Department at San Giorgio, and external partners, research institutes, and universities.Main responsibilities :Ensure a scientific/technological level within the team to develop innovative and competitive solutions.Ensure correct application of drying processes for each Product Line.Manage and develop new products.Validate projects developed by the Center of Excellence.Collect, optimize, and implement Group best practices.Develop relationships with universities, research institutes, and consultants.Follow the development schedule agreed with Product Lines.Ensure transfer prices cover the structure’s costs.Manage a team to achieve area targets.Education and Languages :Degree in Mechanical or Energy Engineering.Excellent English skills.Experience in similar roles is appreciated.Experience in B2B is valued.Knowledge of 3D CAD software.Knowledge of CFD and FEM simulation software.Skills and Personal Characteristics :Analytical skills.Relational and communication skills.Leadership.Teamwork ability.Planning and organization skills.Problem-solving skills.Proactivity.BOBST has been at the forefront of innovation for over 130 years, operating in more than 50 countries.
