Documentation Engineer Professional - TarantoCome join the new Vestas Blades Process Engineering organization. This organization is characterized as a co-located & process engineering team focused on developing and supporting the rest of the organization with subject matter experts (SMEs). It embeds engineering skills directly into the manufacturing value stream and enables faster decision-making and deeper process ownership and knowledge. It builds on a culture of excellence, innovation, and accountability.ResponsibilitiesCreation and updating documentation to Shopfloor / Logistic teams (workers, quality and logistic teams) within Handling & Logistic operations.Updated documentation is always available where needed.Be loyal to the documentation principles described.Engage in obtaining feedback from shop floors and logistic and Handling teams on the function and quality of the documentation delivered.Perform internal quality check of the documentation.Perform internal maturity checks of the documentation against the documented criteria.Keep stakeholders up to date on documentation lead time.Develop training material for reading / use of the documentation packed.Collaborate closely with the documentation specialist from other documentation teams and share lessons learned.Be part of building a culture of excellence, innovation, and accountability.Focus on modern documentation systems and material including process vision, laser systems and other digital enabling systems.Investigate and solve production issues using structured methods such as the 5x Whys and Fishbone Diagrams.Apply continuous improvement principles using quality tools like Lean to reduce waste, improve efficiency, and ensure final product quality.EducationBachelor’s degree in engineering or similarGB leanCourses within Technical writing or communicationExperienceAbout 6 years of experience in similar roles as described aboveWorked withCreate process flowEstablish and maintain work instructions (paper or digital)Validation of own workParticipate in development of Handling & Logistic documentationWorked in a data-driven organizationOptimization and standardization within manufacturing documentation using the toolbox mentioned aboveImportant skillsProficient writing and communication skills: Ability to simplify complex informationTechnical skills: Important for Logistic documentation, involving all types of transportation and storage systems, production processes, or software systems; ability to translate technical jargon into user-friendly languageAttention to detail: Accuracy is critical in documentation that supports operations or complianceWillingness to spend time in the factory environment as required to understand and solve problemsData-Driven Decision MakingUse of tools like 5 Whys, Fishbone diagrams to identify and solve production issuesSelf-motivated, result-oriented, and possess strong organizational disciplineAbility to collaborate with others in a large organization and build a network across cultures and time zonesCustomer-oriented with understanding of the full business value chain from a customer perspectiveCommitment to learningOur commitment to a fair hiringAt Vestas, we evaluate all candidates solely based on their professional experience, education, and relevant skills.
