OverviewDocumentation Engineer Professional - Taranto at Vestas. Engineering, Full-Time.ResponsibilitiesCreation and updating documentation to Shopfloor / Logistic teams (workers, quality and logistic teams) within Handling & Logistic operations.Updated documentation is always available where needed.Adhere to the documentation principles described.Engage in gathering feedback from shop floors and logistic teams on the function and quality of the documentation delivered.Perform internal quality checks of the documentation.Perform internal maturity checks of the documentation against documented criteria.Keep stakeholders up to date on documentation lead times.Develop training material for reading / use of the documentation pack.Collaborate closely with the documentation specialists from other documentation teams and share lessons learned.Be part of building a culture of excellence, innovation, and accountability.Focus on modern documentation systems and material, including process vision, laser systems and other digital enabling systems.Investigate and solve production issues using structured methods such as 5x Why and Fishbone diagrams.Apply continuous improvement principles using quality tools like Lean to reduce waste, improve efficiency, and ensure final product quality.EducationBachelor engineering or equivalentGB leanCourses within Technical writing or communicationExperienceAbout 6 years of experience in similar roles as described aboveWorked withCreate process flowEstablish and maintain work instructions paper or digitalValidation of own workParticipate in development of Handling & Logistic documentationWorked in a data driven organizationOptimization and standardization within manufacturing documentation with use of the toolboxImportant skillsProficient writing and communication skills: Ability to simplify complex informationTechnical skills: Particularly for Logistic documentation involving transportation and storage systems, production processes, or software systems; ability to translate technical jargon into user-friendly languageAttention to detail: Accuracy is critical in documentation that supports operations or complianceWillingness to spend time in the factory environment to understand and solve problemsData-Driven Decision MakingUse of tools like 5 Whys, Fishbone diagrams to identify and solve production issuesSelf-motivated, result-oriented with strong organizational disciplineAbility to collaborate across a large organization, build networks across cultures and time zones, and work with stakeholdersCustomer-oriented with understanding of the full business value chain from a customer perspectiveCommitment to learningOther informationOur commitment to a fair hiring: At Vestas, we evaluate all candidates solely based on professional experience, education, and relevant skills.
