Accountable for the departmental work atmosphere and employee engagement.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS• Professional Management and Leadership of the Procurement Department.• Responsible for the work climate of his/her team and for implementing improvement initiatives.• Responsible for HR related matters in his/her team.• Responsibility for purchasing services for the categories container terminals, feeder, truck, rail, barge, depots and port costs, in close cooperation with the Areas and Global Service Procurement.• Development of regional procurement strategies and concepts.• Preparing and conducting negotiations as well as contractual implementation and administration.• Coordination of purchase activities with consortium partners.• Participation in and leadership of projects as well as presentation of results.• Elaboration of new transport concepts and preparation for the roll-out.• Definition of costs and quality targets.• Cost planning and development tracking in collaboration with Operations Dept. and the Regional Controlling.• Identification of saving potentials and coordination of related measures together with the Areas and corporate departments.QUALIFICATIONSUniversity Degree, Civil Engineer or similar.Experience in Procurement and continuous improvement processes: at least 8y.High analytical skills and systematic, efficient way of workingResponsible, open-minded personalityExcellent communication skills with a solution- and team-oriented approachVery good knowledge of MS OfficeCapability to fluently speak, read and write in English - any other additional languages are a plus.
