Job Description: Sales DirectorLead the sales function to meet growth, profitability, EVA, market share, investment initiative, and product leadership objectives for respective product/market segments.This position is responsible for sales of industrial Motor Drives, DC/DC Converters, Batteries, Off-Board Battery Chargers, including public EV DC-Fast Charging Stations.Coordinate with multiple plants/teams across EU, NA, and Asia, and with OEM customers. Manage all sales activities within a medium organization with high growth potential.Define sales plans and customer strategies, including sales, exports, and customer service. Achieve quantitative and qualitative sales objectives.Work with cross-functional departments to own customer strategy and be accountable for growth, profitability, and customer satisfaction.Negotiate major contracts and develop relationships with key clients. Develop staff and key managers to enhance talent within the business unit and corporation.Provide sales expertise, including executing sales processes, policies, and procedures. Represent the business unit professionally and ethically, promoting product leadership in component and system technology.Develop and deploy customer strategies that improve profitability and growth. Understand market share, competitive position, and profitability per account.Collaborate with Plant Managers, VP Sales & PM, and VP/GM to implement market-driven pricing strategies based on value and competition.Develop customer interface strategies, build rapport with key decision-makers, and develop coaching and sponsorship at key accounts.Create proactive new business plans, track progress toward sales goals, and monitor market dynamics and competitor activities.Ensure customer satisfaction, monitor supplier metrics, and implement corrective actions. Develop sales forecasts for planning and monitor market trends for forecast adjustments.Coordinate globally on customer issues, ensure compliance with contract review procedures, and manage a team of account/sales managers and customer liaison personnel.Focus on team development, training, and coaching to meet new business development and growth targets.Develop business proposals, understand market prices, customer requirements, and value propositions to maximize profitable growth.Support project proposals, facilitate interaction between manufacturing, supply chain, and customers for cost-saving projects.Participate in monthly sales and financial forecast meetings, establish sales quotas and budgets, and develop a vision and strategy for the sales team and market.Travel frequently for customer interactions and support.Education & Experience:Bachelor’s degree (preferably in commercial or technical fields)Advanced engineering or business degree is preferredOver 12 years of sales or engineering experience with significant customer contactManagerial experienceExperience in automotive and industrial industriesUnderstanding of automotive and commercial vehicle OEM processesExperience with multiple PC and CV OEM customersGlobal work experience is desirableTechnical knowledge: power electronics, hybrid and BEV architectures, energy storage systems, BMS types and architecturesFluent in English; German language skills are a plus.
