What you will be responsible for

Assuming end2end DevOps responsibility as part of the product team by communicating with stakeholders
Contribute to the development of a future‑ready container orchestration platform, covering build, deployment and test automation as well as provisioning of infrastructure components in cloud & on‑premise environments
Maintain the application by measuring and monitoring availability, latency and overall system health
Design concepts, evaluate tools and technologies to improve every aspect of the container orchestration platform (incl. CI / CD pipeline)
Drive adoption of best practices in platform health, testing and maintainability

Who we are looking for

Strong soft skills and team working spirit
Extensive know‑how and practical experience in stream processing (specifically Apache Flink)
Know‑how to integrate Apache Flink in conjunction with Apache Pulsar
Configuration Management (Terraform, Ansible)
Security (Practice with certification management, standard authentication mechanism)
State‑of‑the‑art source code management, i.e. Git
Strong scripting skills (ideally Python, Bash)
Interest and ability to learn other coding languages as needed
Ability to speak and write in English fluently and idiomatically

Nice to have

Experience with cloud concepts and -providers, virtualization and containers (preferably in AWS)
Experience in Queuing systems (e.g. RabbitMQ, Kafka, Pulsar)
Experience in building and operating a CI / CD pipeline
Knowledge of TCP / IP networking, architecture, and core technologies (such as DNS, DHCP, HTTP, Routing, VPN)
Developed communication and collaboration skills exhibited in complex operational settings
Basic development skills (preferred Java)
