Enjoy working with Intelligence Community customers. You will have a passion for educating, training, designing, and building cloud solutions for a diverse and challenging set of Intelligence Community customers.
Have a strong understanding of large scale computing solutions. The ideal candidate will have past experience working as a systems or support engineer. You will enjoy keeping your existing technical skills honed and developing new ones, so you can make strong contributions to deep architecture discussions. You will regularly take part in deep‑dive education and design exercises to create truly innovative solutions built on AWS.
This position requires working from one of the selected locations (or customer sites) at least 1+ days a week. It is not a remote position. You are expected to be in the office or with customers as needed.
This role requires a current TS/SCI clearance with polygraph and opt‑in to commensurate clearance for each government agency for which you perform AWS work.
Basic Qualifications
3+ years of design/implementation/operations/consulting experience with distributed applications
1+ years of software development or related experience
Bachelor’s degree, or 1+ years of relevant technical position experience
Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph
Preferred Qualifications
5+ years of IT implementation experience
Experience and technical expertise in cloud computing technologies
Experience leading the design, development and deployment of business software at scale or recent hands‑on technology infrastructure, network, compute, storage, and virtualization experience
Experience migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud
Experience managing data center operations, including data assurance, monitoring, alerting and notifications demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges
Knowledge of compliance and security standards across the enterprise IT landscape
Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $118,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $204,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign‑on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
