Do you like helping U.S. Intelligence Community agencies implement innovative cloud computing solutions and solve technical problems? Professional Services engage in a wide variety of projects for customers and partners, providing collective experience from across the AWS customer base and are obsessed about strong success for the Customer. Our team collaborates across the entire AWS organization to bring access to product and service teams, to get the right solution delivered and drive feature innovation based upon customer needs.
We are looking for someone who is passionate about:

Have a strong understanding of large scale computing solutions. The ideal candidate will have past experience working as a systems or support engineer. You will enjoy keeping your existing technical skills honed and developing new ones, so you can make strong contributions to deep architecture discussions. You will regularly take part in deep‑dive education and design exercises to create truly innovative solutions built on AWS.

It is expected to work from one of the above locations (or customer sites) at least 1+ days in a week. This is not a remote position. You are expected to be in the office or with customers as needed.
This position requires that the candidate selected must currently possess and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph. The position further requires the candidate to opt into a commensurate clearance for each government agency for which they perform AWS work.
Basic Qualifications

3+ years of cloud architecture and solution implementation experience
Knowledge of the primary AWS services (EC2, ELB, RDS, Route53 & S3)
Experience implementing AWS services in a variety of distributed computing environments
Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph

Preferred Qualifications

5+ years of IT implementation experience
Degree in advanced technology, or AWS Professional level certification
Knowledge of AWS services including compute, storage, networking, security, databases, machine learning, and serverless technologies
Knowledge of security and compliance standards including HIPAA and GDPR
Experience and technical expertise (design and implementation) in cloud computing technologies
Experience leading the design, development and deployment of business software at scale or recent hands‑on technology infrastructure, network, compute, storage, and virtualization experience
Experience in performance optimization and cost management for cloud environments
Experience presenting technical solutions to diverse audiences in pre‑sales environments

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $118,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $204,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
