This strategic role is key to shaping and optimizing ENGIE’s energy supply portfolio, enabling the definition of effective hedging strategies, managing risk exposure, and driving commercial performance. The ideal candidate is a data-driven professional with strong analytical and coding skills, capable of translating complex datasets into actionable insights. He/she will develop innovative portfolio representations, collaborating with cross-functional teams and leveraging advanced technologies. Our global reach and strong local presence enable us to offer these diverse clients tailor-made services and respond to rapid changes in mature or emerging markets alike.Our 3 expertise:Asset managementEnergy supply, providing green energy & innovative solutionsAt S&EM we encourage breakthrough results, team spirit, curiosity and innovation while preserving the right work/life balance for you.What will you do?Reporting to the Portfolio Modelling & Data Manager, you will:Analyze complex data sets to identify trends and insights that will inform strategic decisions.Develop robust volume and economic forecasting models to support risk management and unlock new business opportunities.In collaboration with Energy Management, ensure accurate economic representation of the portfolio.Apply machine learning techniques to enhance accuracy and operational efficiency.Use data visualization tools to communicate findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Technical Collaboration and Platform DevelopmentWork closely with Product Owner, Portfolio Managers, Data Engineers, and Cloud Engineers to maintain and scale the forecasting platform.Utilize tools such as Jira, Confluence, Miro, Microsoft Teams, and GitHub to manage workflows and project execution.Utilize data and cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, Databricks, Collibra, Power BI) to enhance analytics and reporting capabilities.Leadership and DocumentationFoster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement in data analysis practices.Document methodologies, processes and project outcomes to ensure transparency and scalability.Act as key point of contact for stakeholders, aligning initiatives with company objectives.Cross-Country CoordinationCollaborate with quant teams in France, Belgium and the Netherlands to harmonize forecasting, models and processes.About youBachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering or a related field.2 to 3 years of experience in data science or similar roles.Solid proficiency in data management, cloud platforms and data visualization tools (e.g., AWS, Databricks, Collibra, Power BI).Hands-on experience with productivity and collaboration tools (Jira, Confluence, Miro, Microsoft Teams, GitHub).Strong foundation in statistics, machine learning and data analysis techniques.Programming skills in Python, R or SQL, with ability to handle large datasets and apply low code solutions.Understanding of energy market risks (volume, price, commercial, operational) and related mitigation strategies.Fluency in EnglishAbility to coordinate with business stakeholders and international teams.Proven track-record in managing cross-functional projects.Preferred: experience in the B2C energy sector and familiarity with digital transformation of commercial processes, knowledge of European energy markets and regulatory frameworks.Personal attributesStrategic thinker with a proactive and innovative mindset.Collaborative team player, comfortable in a fast-paced and dynamic environments.Able to balance short-term tactical needs with long-term strategic goals.Type of contractPermanent contract according to local lawAbout ENGIEWorking at ENGIE, a multinational group, means having a wide variety of career opportunities in more than 30 countries.
