Within the Group Data Artificial Intelligence and Automation Solutions function, we are looking for a talented and proactive resource to join the team. The function is in charge of driving the execution of key Artificial Intelligence projects at Group level, related both to AI-driven automation and AI recommendations/predictions to support the Generali growth. The function is also responsible for designing, implementing, and continuously improving a library of central shared analytics/automation services, leveraging cutting-edge technologies, algorithms, and methodologies, available for the BUs through a central platform.
Key Responsibilities
Supporting the project set‑up, the analysis of the as‑is processes, the creation of a business case, and the design of the target end‑to‑end solution, including the models and data needed to maximize the business impact
Developing end‑to‑end AI projects (data pre‑processing, algorithm selection, training, evaluation/test, and code‑base maintenance)
Presenting and explaining the projects results and the solution’s performances to the business stakeholders
Researching bleeding‑edge techniques and tools to bring new research topics and methodologies from paper to production and contribute to the library of ready‑to‑use shared algorithms used worldwide
Requirements
Master’s degree in STEM disciplines (Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science)
At least 2 years of experience, as a data scientist or AI/ML engineer
Experience in designing, developing, and evaluating Statistical or Machine Learning models (clustering, classification, regression, forecasting, etc.)
Proficiency with at least one programming language (Python, Java, C, etc.)
Strong theoretical and practical knowledge on one among NLP and Computer Vision techniques
Knowledge of the main LLMs (GPT, Claude, Llama, Mistral, etc.) and related libraries (LangChain, LLamaIndex, etc.), and prompt engineering
Proficiency with Data Science libraries (Pandas, Scikit‑learn, Numpy, etc.)
Strong problem‑solving, analytical and deductive skills, creativity, and determination
Ability to work in a team, operational autonomy, proactivity, high level of commitment and result oriented
