You will be responsible for scaling, automating, and optimizing HBX data governance policies and processes across all stages of the data lifecycle.This role is a key contributor to delivering and successfully executing the Data Governance Roadmap. You will be actively involved in establishing the company's data quality foundations by developing and implementing technical solutions related to:Data Governance & Management policies as codeAutomatic Data Observability and Quality metrics implementationEffective Metadata Management & Data CatalogueAutomation of Data Policies and ProceduresAutomation of Data Security processes and controlsResponsibilities :Reporting to the Head of Data Governance Office, this role will be responsible for:Designing and implementing automatic Data Governance policies and procedures, detecting bad practices, and preventing data quality issues across various data layers and phases of the data lifecycle.Designing and implementing automatic Data Management policies, procedures, and controls (policy as code) to prevent data misuse.Designing and implementing automatic Data Quality controls, validations, metrics, and alerts.Collaborating with Data Governance Enterprise Architect to design data extraction, transformation, and loading processes using SQL, Python, and AWS big data technologies.Building and deploying Data Governance tools for Data Analysts and Data Scientists to support product innovation.SkillsEducation in Computer & Information Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field. Master’s degree in BI & Data Analytics, Big Data is preferred.Experience with advanced Python programming, working with various databases, SQL, data security management, root cause analysis, and data systems automation.Technical Skills include management of cloud data warehouse platforms (preferably Snowflake), programming in SQL and Python, ETL tools like Airflow, data transformation tools like dbt, governance platforms, data visualization tools like Tableau, and version control systems like Git.Soft Skills encompass excellent communication, project management (Agile, Scrum, Kanban), proficiency in English and Spanish, strategic thinking, results orientation, data literacy, visualization, and innovation skills.Day-to-day activities involve governing the HBX Data Platform Stack, designing automated data governance policies and controls, ensuring data security and compliance, and managing the full data lifecycle.
