You will be responsible for scaling, automation, and optimizing HBX data governance policies and processes across the entire data lifecycle.This role is a key contributor to delivering and successfully executing the Data Governance Roadmap. You will be actively involved in creating the company's data quality foundations by developing and delivering technical solutions related to:Data Governance & Management policies as codeAutomatic Data Observability and Quality metrics implementationEffective and efficient Metadata Management & Data CatalogueData Policies and Procedures automationData Security processes and controls automationResponsibilities:Reporting to the Head of Data Governance Office, this role will be responsible for:Designing and implementing automatic Data Governance policies and procedures, detecting bad practices, and preventing data quality issues across different data layers and lifecycle phases.Designing and implementing automatic Data Management policies, procedures, and controls (policy as code) to prevent data misuse.Designing and implementing automatic Data Quality controls, validation, metrics, and alerts.Coordinating with the Data Governance Enterprise Architect to design data extraction, transformation, and loading processes using SQL, Python, and AWS technologies.Building and deploying Data Governance tools for Data Analysts and Data Scientists to support product development and innovation.Skills:Education in Computer & Information Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, BI & Data Analytics, Big Data.Advanced Python knowledge, experience with databases, enterprise applications, and ML apps.Strong SQL skills, experience with relational databases, data security management, and data system automation.Technical expertise in cloud data warehouses (Snowflake preferred), programming (SQL, Python, REST API), ETL tools (Airflow, Snowpipe), data transformation (dbt), governance platforms, visualization tools (Tableau), and version control (Bitbucket, GitHub).Excellent communication, project management (Agile, Scrum, Kanban), and data literacy skills. Proficiency in English and Spanish.Day-to-day activities:Governance and management of HBX Data Platform Stack, including security, user management, roles, and policies.Design and implement automated data governance policies and controls.Develop systems and tools connectivity via API to ensure data platform interconnectivity, governance, and consistency.Implement data security policies to ensure compliance with regulations like GDPR and internal policies.Support full data lifecycle management, including upgrades, management, decommissioning, and archiving, in compliance with data retention policies.
