Data Center Technician – AWS Infrastructure Services

Position Overview
We are looking for Data Center Technicians to join our rapidly expanding team. This position will help ensure overall availability and reliability to meet or exceed defined service levels of data center operations. The work involves in-depth hardware and network diagnostics followed by physical repair, and participation in an on‑call rotation.
All candidates should be willing to work both independently and with a team. Work prioritization, organizational skills, effective communication, and the ability to react quickly are critical to being successful.
Physical Requirements
Regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds; participate in group lifts for 41+ pounds.
Work in cramped and/or elevated locations.
Bending, lifting, stretching, and reaching.
Standing and walking for up to 8+ hours a day.
Ascending and descending ladders, stairs, and gangways safely and without limitation.
Work in a noisy environment.
Work shifts longer than 8 hours to support 24/7 operations, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
A Day in the Life
Take ownership of technical issues brought by your customer base, engaging other teams when needed to drive resolution.
Show a strong aptitude for troubleshooting and problem solving.
Resolve problems at their root and step back to understand the broader context.
Maintain service level agreements through proactive issue detection and reporting.
Act decisively in the absence of direction or support.
Improve effectiveness through process innovation.
You’ll also be required to work day, night, weekend, and holiday shifts.
Basic Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
1 + year(s) of computer hardware troubleshooting and repair experience.
1 + year(s) of computer networking experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in a data center or other critical environment.
Experience managing work and priorities through a ticketing system.
Understanding of network design, protocols, and troubleshooting.
Associate’s degree or 2 + years of professional or military experience in an IT‑related field.

Compensation ranges from $50,600 per year in our lowest geographic market up to $113,200 per year in our highest geographic market, plus potential equity, sign‑on payments, and other benefits. Refer to https://www.aboutamazon.com/workplace/employee-benefits for details.
