AWS Infrastructure Services (AIS) owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. In other words, we’re the people who keep the cloud running. You’ll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. You’ll collaborate with people across AWS to help us deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers. Key Job Responsibilities

Know and follow all Company safety rules, including maintaining a safe, clean, and orderly work area, and fully participate in company accident prevention and safety improvement activities
Respond to customer requests
Travel to designated sites and perform professional quality field service repairs consistent with company standards
Advise the Generator Service Manager of parts needed for necessary repairs
Keep Generator Service Manager continually apprised, and utilize leadership to assist in answering customer questions and problems when necessary
Document detailed, complete and legible descriptions of all repair operations performed
Accurately record time, expenses, and mileage
Travel 80-90% of the time in an assigned region, and/or work overtime, weekends, or holidays, sometimes on short notice
Lift up to 40 lbs frequently; pushing and pulling a maximum force of 40 lbs
Wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Protective Glasses, Protective Gloves, and Protective Footwear as required

Basic Qualifications

High school or equivalent diploma
Technical (Military/Trade School) training or 1+ years of electrical or mechanical, HVAC, fire system experience in a mission‑critical infrastructure or equivalent experience in a relevant industry (for example: electrical or mechanical) 1+ years of electrical or mechanical experience
1+ years’ experience with Microsoft Office products (including Excel, Word and PowerPoint)

Preferred Qualifications

2+ years of data center engineering experience

Compensation
Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $59,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $133,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign‑on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
