Leonardo is a key partner in major international strategic programmes, collaborating with governments, defence agencies, and institutions.Within the Cyber & Security Solutions Division, we are seeking a senior Data Manager to oversee data aspects of an important international program.The role involves a 30-month secondment to our Hague office after initial hiring at an Italian office.The successful candidate will be responsible for:Ensuring compliance with data governance policies, standards, and project-specific regulations.Managing the full data lifecycle, including collection, storage, entry, maintenance, and quality assurance.Conducting assessments and audits on data quality, integrity, and security.Monitoring data access controls and implementing security measures.Optimizing data management systems, ensuring their availability and performance.Documenting data management processes, activities, incidents, and governance adherence.Preparing data reports, dashboards, and updates for senior management and stakeholders.Communicating data challenges and providing solutions in coordination with relevant teams.Developing best practices for data management aligned with organizational strategies.Additional responsibilities include supporting configuration management activities, ensuring contract compliance, generating status reports, maintaining documentation, providing training, and collaborating with contract managers.**Education:**Bachelor's degree in a related discipline.**Senior Level:**5+ years of experience managing data for large-scale IT projects, preferably in defense or government sectors.**Professional Skills:**Proficiency with data management tools (SQL, Oracle, IBM DB2, MS SQL Server, Excel).Knowledge of data architecture, modeling, and database design.Experience with data governance frameworks and security standards.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Understanding of data compliance regulations (GDPR, HIPAA, NATO standards).Ability to obtain and maintain NATO Secret security clearance.Relevant certifications (CDMP, CIMP, or equivalent).**Soft Skills:**Attention to detail and commitment to data quality.Ability to multitask in a dynamic environment.Willingness to stay updated with data management developments.**Location:**Primary: Abruzzo, Chieti, Italy.
