Position: Embedded Linux Security EngineerWe are seeking an experienced engineer in Embedded Linux device development with strong cybersecurity knowledge to join our development team.The ideal candidate holds a degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering; additional scientific degrees may be considered with extensive professional experience exceeding the minimum requirement of 3 years. The candidate should have a solid understanding of Linux-based embedded systems and proven ability to enhance security measures on embedded software platforms.Main responsibilities include:Participating in the development of the company's Linux-based operating system (Yocto-based), focusing on security aspects.Developing existing applications to comply with security specifications.Designing and implementing security solutions primarily at the application software level.Integrating security technologies such as encryption, strong authentication, access control, key management, and filesystem protections.Implementing monitoring and intrusion detection solutions for embedded devices.Collaborating on procedures for secure software updates.Creating detailed technical documentation and security guidelines for developers and operational teams.Analyzing and responding to new security threats and vulnerabilities.Additional requirements include:Proven experience in developing Linux userspace applications.Strong understanding of security architectures for embedded systems.Knowledge of C / C++, Bash scripting.Familiarity with IEC 62443 standard.Experience with version control software such as git or svn.Knowledge of DevSecOps methodologies and CI/CD with security tools integration.Familiarity with security practices like cryptography, key management, TPM, Secure Boot, SELinux / AppArmor.Experience with Yocto Project, Buildroot, or other embedded system build platforms.Experience in developing Linux kernel modules and customizing kernel sources.Basic web application development skills, mainly at the architectural level.Knowledge of industrial automation.The ideal candidate also possesses good English skills, team collaboration predisposition, strong problem-solving capabilities in complex systems, and a proactive attitude.Work location: Provaglio d'IseoThis announcement is addressed to both male and female candidates (L. 903 / 77).
