RINA is currently recruiting for a Cyber Security Engineer to join its office in Catania within the Cyber Security and Management Consulting Division.
Mission
We are seeking a junior cybersecurity engineer to expand our technical team. Junior personnel could have less than 5 years of experience in the field, but a technical academic background in computer engineering or computer science is required. An experience of at least 1-2 years is appreciated.
Key Accountabilities
The responsibilities include:
Carrying out technical activities such as:
Identify security risks within organizations and complex systems/architectures;
Design security measures and provide recommendations to improve security postures;
Verify compliance with laws, regulations, and standards related to security and cybersecurity;
Provide support to customers in cybersecurity activities;
Draft technical reports;
Potentially develop software code/scripts.
Education
Master’s Degree in Computer Engineering or Cyber Security.
Qualifications
Requirements include:
Knowledge of laws, regulations, international standards, and best practices on Information Security/Cybersecurity (e.g., ISO27k family, NIST Framework, NIS Directives, ISA62443, Common Criteria/ISO15408);
Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C/C++/C#, VB.Net, Python, and familiarity with database management systems and development environments;
Strong problem-solving skills;
Excellent communication skills in Italian and English;
Flexibility and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment;
Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
Desired certifications include ISO270001 Lead Auditor, GIAC/GICSP, ISA62443, CEH, OSCP, ISACA CISM/CISA/CRISC, ISC2 CISSP. Previous experience with security certification processes like Common Criteria is a plus.
