You will be responsible for several direct reports in line with business needs.Key responsibilitiesControl customs processes ensuring safe, quality, and efficient operations in line with company policiesCarry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with group’s policies and applicable lawsBe involved in project leadership and resourcing in collaboration with local managementOversee workload and tasks assigned to employees; clarify expectations of roles, lead performance evaluations and address corrective action plansOversee needs for additional resources including participation in recruitment, on-boarding and trainingEnsure correct use of resources to pursue company goalsManage escalations and handle potential claims until resolutionCoordinate with Risk & Compliance to handle processes and communication with relevant authoritiesPrepare and communicate relevant information for employees under your area of responsibilitiesBusiness trips might be requiredWho we are looking forDeep understanding of local market and regulationsComprehensive knowledge of the logistics landscapeExperience in managing people in a complex environment (engagement, motivation, rewards), and experience in Customs operationsStrong customer-facing and interaction skills with a high level of customer orientationStrong and proven teamwork attitudeAbility to work under pressure to meet deadlines and results-orientedExcellent communication skills and ability to communicate at all organizational levels with a focus on collaboration and network behavior; we work in English and ItalianJob LocationGenoa, ItalyNo visa or relocation provided for this positionOur recruitment processPlease submit your application in English.If your profile matches the job requirements, our recruiter will get in touch to share more about the role and get to know you better.If successful, you will discuss the role with the Line Manager in more detail.
