We are excited to offer an opportunity for a Software Engineer to join our Software Customer Service team in Cernusco sul Naviglio, Italy.As Customer Software Support Engineer, you will be the vital link between our customers and our technical experts, providing exceptional remote support via phone and remote desktop connections. You may also engage in on-site assignments up to 25-30% of the time, to ensure the highest level of service for our clients.What We OfferCareer DevelopmentCompetitive Compensation and BenefitsPay TransparencyGlobal OpportunitiesLearn more about Dematic at our Careers page.Tasks and QualificationsYou Will Be Responsible For:Acting as 2nd line support to our customersCoordinating incoming service tasksTroubleshooting Java, JEE and C# code, identifying bugs and preparing software patchesPro-active maintenance of current installationsDevelopment of change requestsPerforming software upgradesHelping customers with server and database upgradesAnalyzing problems and investigating performance issuesDelivering detailed reports of each interventionAdding to our knowledge baseBeing part of the 24/7 support team (On Call)Interacting with other service teams in DematicWhat We Are Looking ForWe are seeking a team player with a positive attitude and strong communication skills. You are dedicated to solving problems thoroughly, putting the customer first. You are open to occasional out-of-hours work and on-site visits to meet client needs.Required Experience And QualificationsEducated in ICT, Electro-mechanics, Automation or related disciplinesExperience in software development using Java, JEE, C#, .NET, WinForms, Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft Windows Server, GitBasic IT administration knowledge such as user management and remote desktop connectionsHands-on experience in software lifecycle managementExperience in testing, deployment, server and database installationExperience in acting as 2nd or 3rd line supportKnowledge of warehouse automation and intra-logistics is beneficialValid driving licenseFull working proficiency in both Italian and English
