Creative Director - AI Dubbing, Prime Video Localization Enablement & Accessibility Program (LEAP) Team
Job ID: 3150734 | Amazon.com Services LLC
Come build the future of entertainment with us! Are you interested in shaping the future of movies and television? Prime Video is a premium streaming service that offers customers a vast collection of TV shows, movies, and live events—including Amazon Originals, exclusive licensed content, live sports, and add‑on channels—accessible in one place across more than 240 countries and territories worldwide. The LEAP team seeks an innovative Creative Director to spearhead the creative vision for its AI‑enabled dubbing platform and ensure culturally resonant, emotionally authentic international storytelling at scale.
Key Job Responsibilities
Set the bar for creative vision and strategy: establish the creative direction for AI‑assisted dubbing, ensuring AI‑generated voiceovers preserve emotional nuance, tone, and cultural context while collaborating with AI engineers and localization experts to refine voice‑synthesis algorithms.
Enable AI‑human collaboration: design hybrid workflows where AI handles initial dubbing and human talent refines delivery, timing, and emotional depth, maintaining consistency between AI‑generated and human‑dubbed segments.
Maintain quality and ethical standards: ensure AI dubbing meets Prime Video’s customer quality benchmarks—clarity, synchronization, cultural sensitivity—through rigorous testing and feedback loops with quality experts.
Drive global expansion and innovation: identify opportunities to expand AI dubbing to new languages and content types (e.g., anime, documentaries, live‑action) and set up creative workflows to support them.
Lead cross‑functional collaboration: partner with product, engineering, and marketing teams to align dubbing technology with viewer experience goals and champion thought leadership through industry talks, white papers, and creator collaborations.
Basic Qualifications
10+ years in creative direction, preferably in film/TV dubbing, localization, or AI‑driven media.
Proven track record of merging technology with artistic storytelling (e.g., voice direction, script adaptation, emotional arc design).
Familiarity with post‑production pipelines and collaboration tools such as ProTools and AI platforms like DeepDub or ElevenLabs.
Fluency in English and Latin American Spanish (ES‑419) with demonstrated expertise in cross‑cultural narrative adaptation.
Ability to navigate diverse audience expectations while maintaining universal emotional resonance.
Strong stakeholder management skills and experience guiding technical and creative teams toward shared goals.
Experience building or scaling in‑house creative talent development programs, including training, mentorship, or up‑skilling initiatives for AI dubbing teams.
Preferred Qualifications
Hands‑on experience deploying advanced AI tools (e.g., real‑time neural TTS, dynamic emotional adaptation algorithms, generative voice cloning) in creative workflows.
Recognized industry authority with published papers, patents, or keynote speeches on AI’s role in storytelling, dubbing ethics, or cross‑cultural narrative adaptation.
Expertise in dubbing niche formats (e.g., anime, documentaries, immersive VR/AR content) or historical/fictional dialects, demonstrated through award‑winning projects.
Experience leading decentralized, multilingual creative teams across multiple time zones and fostering collaboration among science, technology, product, voice actors, and localization specialists.
Ability to leverage dubbing performance data—viewer retention, lip‑sync accuracy metrics—to iterate on AI models and creative decisions, reducing creative rework.
