Intertek, a leading provider of ATIC (Assurance, Testing, Inspection and Certification) Services, is looking for a Corrosion Engineer for its Industry Services Division, based in Guardia Perticara at the Tempa Rossa Site.The Corrosion Engineer will serve as the focal point for assessing corrosion mitigation strategies, monitoring activities, and reviewing inspection actions based on findings. The role requires close collaboration with the Inspection Method Engineer, especially regarding FAME + (Customer Tool for RBI), and proposing updates based on results.MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:Liaise with the Laboratory Manager for chemical injection follow-up and sampling analysis results.Organize and oversee various campaigns, including corrosion probe readings, cathodic protection, and corrosion coupon retrieval.Review FAME + study results and associated inspection plans with the Inspection Method Engineer.Check relevant operating parameters using the Process Data Management System (PDMS – PI) and define the Integrity Operating Window to prevent corrosion threats.Coordinate activities of contractors involved in corrosion monitoring campaigns.Propose actions to improve performance and availability of corrosion control systems.Alert support teams to recurring issues related to spare parts availability or quality.Ensure that software modifications or corrective actions conform to functional analysis standards.Maintain up-to-date control system documentation.Design weekly and monthly reports to monitor potential underperformance of corrosion protection systems, such as chemical injection.Requirements:Master's degree or equivalent (e.g., Chartered Engineer, A-levels + 5 years' study, or Bachelor's degree with HND/HNC, A-levels + 3 years' study, BTS/DUT) in metallurgy and/or corrosion.At least 8 years of experience in corrosion, with a minimum of 3 years as a corrosion specialist in the petrochemical industry.Deep understanding of main corrosion mechanisms and threats in upstream oil & gas plants.Knowledge of process principles and equipment in oil and gas treatment installations.Specific expertise in API 580/581 (Risk-Based Inspection) and API RP 571 (Damage Mechanisms).Proficiency in cathodic protection, painting systems, chemical corrosion mitigation, and monitoring techniques, including corrosion probes and coupons.Ability to use CMIMS (SAP), FAME +, and specialized software for probes reading and analysis.Responsible, rigorous, methodical, with strong analytical and anticipatory skills; natural authority and flexibility are essential.Fluent in written and spoken Italian.Location: Engineer • Potenza, Province of Potenza, Italy
