The aim of this position is to ensure all shipments are efficiently processed, recovered and dispatched in time to meet schedules required by the customers. The position includes managing all aspects of operational employees, ranging from their performance to assisting with their personnel files. The position extends to creating workable formal relationships with sub-contractors, handling facilities and maintaining a clear communication line with other departments within the Country offices and departments (Administration, Customer Service both in Country offices) and other international offices.Main Duties And ResponsibilitiesReporting to the Regional Director, this person will be responsible for successfully managing the (Country) Operations function.Improve staff cross-training and developmentHelp reducing fixed costs and increasing gross margin working on solutions to establish new cost efficient routes, negotiating with providers, etc… controlling facility / utility costs.Manage and increase the effectiveness and efficiency of Support Services (OPS, CS, HR, IT and Finance), through operational improvements to each function as well as coordination and communication between support and business functions.Play a significant role in long-term planning, including an initiative geared toward operational excellence.Oversee overall operational management, planning, systems and controls.Management of operational budget in coordination with the Regional Director.Management of external agencies relevant to (Country) operationsImprove the operational systems, processes and policies in support of organizations mission -- specifically, support management reporting, information flow and management, business process and organizational planning.Requirements5 years background and work experience in OperationsExcellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative management style.Budget development and oversight experienceCommercially awareStrong analytical, negotiations, strategic planning, resource management and leadership skills.To operate in an fast pace, community environmentExcellent people manager, open to directionCommitment to get the job doneAbility to challenge and debate issues of importance to the organization.Ability to look at situations from several points of viewDelegate responsibilities effectivelyDemonstrated leadership and vision in managing staff groups and major projects or initiatives.Demonstrated commitment to high professional ethical standards and a diverse workplaceExcellent computer skills and proficient in excel, word, outlook, and accessKnowledge on international compliance & security regulationsUPS is committed to providing a workplace free of discrimination, harassment, and retaliation.Tipo Di DipendenteA tempo indeterminatoUPS si impegna a fornire un luogo di lavoro privo di discriminazioni, molestie e ritorsioni.
