Contract Logistics Customer Service Supervisor

As a Contract Logistics Specialist at Kuehne+Nagel, you will manage end-to-end warehousing operations for our clients. By doing so with precision, you will contribute to the success of the warehouse and distribution centers by storing and delivering delicate goods such as flowers and fresh ingredients to local shops for everyday lunches and family celebrations.
In this role, you will operate within Contract Logistics for our new fully automated warehouse located in Mantua, spanning over 130,000 square metres, and supervise a resident team of specialists while maintaining a strong relationship with the customer.
How you create impact
Contribute to the development and establishment of a strong relationship with the customer and internal stakeholders under the guidance of the Contract Logistics Customer Service Manager.
Act as a point of contact between internal and external stakeholders and facilitate the management of warehouse goods workflow by transferring information about shipments, discrepancies, billing, and other operational matters.
Analyse complaints related to billing or service rendered and coordinate investigations, promptly updating customers throughout the process.
Ensure continuous improvements on KPIs related to general service, order processing, and customer query resolution/prevention.
Conduct reporting activities, implement dashboards and develop clear communication tools to provide rapid and efficient information on shipments, billing, and discrepancies.
Allocate and calibrate workload and tasks among team members and support them daily while filtering customer escalations and requests.
What we would like you to bring
3+ years’ experience in large-scale (>300 FTE) highly automated fulfilment operations, preferably in eCommerce, fashion or retail, in multinational companies with matrix structures.
Proven experience managing a white‑collar team responsible for operations, transportation, logistics documentation and day‑to‑day urgencies.
Experience in metric‑oriented, data‑analysis based environments with strict SLAs and deadlines, and the ability to prioritise issues using ticketing systems.
Deep expertise in managing large‑scale B2B clients and communicating with senior external stakeholders, moderating and linking customer needs to warehouse opportunities and capacity.
Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
Knowledge of main ERP/WMS systems such as SAP or BlueYonder is a strong plus.
