The Continuous Improvement Engineer will support World Class Organization (WCO) principles with the aim of organizational development, continuous business improvement, profitability and sustainability. In order to maintain WCO drive, this position will lead and support its implementation and associated Continuous Improvement (CI) and Lean Manufacturing initiatives.
Key Job Responsibilities
Implement EMEA Lean Deployment Roadmap to bakeries and reporting its deployment progress to EMEA
Organize and facilitate bakery trainings based on the EMEA Lean Deployment Roadmap
Complete and manage the Value / Process Stream Mapping and analysis
Complete and manage the Line Balancing Study in order to improve the bakery’s output
Perform Root Cause Analysis with the bakery team and resolve the problems
Perform shop floor data collection
Process wide loss and waste analysis
Profit Improvement project support through Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control (DMAIC) principles
Support the implementation of 5s / order and discipline
Assist in developing Standardized Work
Find opportunities to implement Single Minute Exchange of Dies (SMED)
Lead and support the teams in identifying appropriate problem-solving techniques (Fishbone Diagram, 5-why etc.)
Support the cultivation of organizational excellence
Support cultural alignment with the values of Grupo Bimbo
Positive contribution to build a positive, engaged and open culture
Works with cross-functional teams to define and agree on CI objectives / priorities
Develops and maintains effective internal and external communications to CI goals
Consistently searches for better approaches / solutions / processes (CI)
Supports Food Safety System incorporated in the Continuous Improvement solutions provided
Liaison between WCO 3rd party service provider and the bakery on an execution level
Implement and manage Rever Program
Implement and manage GB Connected Program
Other duties as assigned

Education and Work History
Tertiary Industrial Engineering Qualification Degree (post graduate degree preferred) or international equivalent related to lean operations management or industrial and manufacturing engineering.
Ideal candidate will possess
5+ years manufacturing experience demonstrating a self-starting and hands-on quality
Preference for a degree in management engineering.
Experience in at least one of the following areas : Toyota Production System (TPS), World Class Manufacturing (WCM), Six Sigma.
Recognised as an expert in continuous improvement; provides insights and advice on implementation.
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills (minimum English level B1).
Excellent project and time management skills; able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Proficiency in SAP and MS Office.
Comfortable working in multicultural environments.
