Construction Project Manager
Location: Rome, Italy

Mission
Reporting to the EPC Associate Director for Zelestra Business Unit Italy, oversee all aspects of Engineering, Procurement, and Construction of projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. Manage the project lifecycle during the execution phase, including planning, execution, and closeout, and act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders. Contribute during the development stage of the project in defining the scope of work (SoW), analyzing offers, and selecting contractors.
Responsibilities
Coordinate between engineering, procurement, and construction teams.
Establish project schedules, milestones, and resource requirements.
Coordinate suppliers and contractors.
Manage tender phase up to contract signature.
Conduct periodic reviews of scope, schedule, and costs using industry best practices to identify necessary adjustments.
Ensure adherence to safety protocols and procedures (HSE compliance).
Ensure work meets quality standards and project specifications.
Monitor project costs and manage construction budgets.
Track progress against schedule and implement recovery plans if needed.
Identify and mitigate potential risks and delays.
Measure project performance and progress throughout campaign execution.
Manage client and other stakeholder expectations to maintain productive and engaged relationships.
Provide summary project plan documentation to department managers, clients, and other stakeholders as needed.
Support during the development phase in the analysis of bidders technical‑economic offers.
Participate in ongoing learning to stay abreast of industry best practices, new technologies, and emerging standards.
Collaborate with and lead teams to deliver results on schedule and within budget.
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Renewable Energy, Construction Management, or a related field.
Understanding of renewable technologies, interconnection, SCADA, and permitting processes.
Familiarity with project management tools (MS Project or equivalent).
Knowledge of contracts (EPC, PPA, O&M) and regulatory frameworks.
5+ years of experience in project management within the renewable energy sector.
Proven track record delivering BESS, solar PV, wind, or hybrid energy projects.
Soft skills:
Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
Ability to manage multidisciplinary teams under tight deadlines.
Strategic thinking, problem‑solving, and decision‑making abilities.
Fluent spoken and written English at level C1 or C2; Spanish is a plus.
