For one of our clients, a dynamic oil trading company based in Milan, we are seeking to recruit a Compliance Officer to join their team. The ideal candidate will bring 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in compliance within the physical commodity trading sector, with strong exposure to oil trading operations.Your Mission Develop, implement, and maintain internal compliance policies and procedures Ensure alignment with applicable regulatory frameworks and internal governance standards Monitor and manage all regulatory compliance matters, including AML, sanctions, and KYC obligations Identify and assess areas of compliance risk or vulnerability, and proactively recommend improvements Liaise closely with key internal stakeholders and external regulatory bodies Prepare and present regular compliance reports to senior managementYour Profile 3 to 5 years of experience as a Compliance Officer in a physical commodity trading environment, ideally with direct exposure to oil trading Solid understanding of compliance regulations and international standards (AML, KYC, sanctions) A degree in Law, Economics, Finance, or Business Administration Fluent in English and French (written and spoken); Italian is a strong plus Strong analytical mindset, excellent attention to detail, and a proactive approach High ethical standards and ability to communicate clearly and effectively across teamsThis is an exciting opportunity to grow within a highly entrepreneurial environment and play a key role in strengthening the compliance culture of a fast-moving trading company.Ready for your next challenge?
