Joining us means joining a truly global community of more than 38 900 people dedicated to solving real-world mobility challenges and achieving international projects with sustainable local impact.For our Savigliano site in Italy we are currently looking for a motivated and enthusiasticCompetitiveness ManagerPurpose of the job: In charge for his Platform of :Ensuring the completeness of the reference library and its continuous monitoring versus QCD objectivesManaging competitiveness plans on the platform’s products, reference libraries and reference solutions: driving during product development, implementation during tender preparation, monitoring during project executionSupport pre-tendering / tendering activities and start of projects with reference libraries.Collecting ROE on relevant ProjectsKey accountabilities:Competitiveness on Ref LibSupport the Product/or Solution manager in building, driving and permanently challenging the Reference Library on QCD aspects: allocate and follow the cost target achievement per contributor, update the Ref Lib with cost improvement confirmedCoordinate, on behalf of the Product/or Solution manager, competitiveness action plans with all métiers: build and present business cases of new competitiveness actionsSupport the Product /or Solution manager on demand for any costing activity (including quick costing at pre-tendering phase)Prepare and present Ref Lib reviews (with Competitiveness Director and Ref Lib manager), according to the standards and the calendar definedCompetitiveness on Tenders and ProjectsOn support to the Platform cost manager (when existing)Support the Platform at pre tendering and tendering stage in assessing on demand quick costing, target costs , target allocation to stakeholders ("top down" approach) using Ref Lib costing dataHold reviews with bid cost managers to check QCD offering is aligned with Ref LibMonitor the gaps between Ref Lib and Tender solution, and propose new competitiveness action plan to reach the target costSupport to Projects on cost analysis, competitiveness action plan (task force, assessment, Design to cost activities…)Return of experienceParticipate to analysis/benchmark of competition offering with Platform Market & Portfolio directorIn coordination with the Platform members, ensure that the ROE of projects is integrated into the Ref Lib (cost, planning, etc) and reorient action plan if neededPerformance measurements:Progress of Competitiveness action plan: volume/number of competitiveness actions proposed, progress of actionsCost monitoring of Ref Libs, and delivery on timeQuality of Reference Library presentationEducational RequirementsMandatory: Engineering degree and/or Business SchoolExperienceMandatory: Minimum 5 years of experience in industryDesirable:Experience in Railway industryKnowledgeable of Costing, or Engineering, or Sourcing in similar industryExperience in Design To CostCompetencies & SkillsTechnical:Project Management and / or Industry backgroundAbility to recognize product and associated costs, and understand operational flows (engineering, manufacturing, industrial, etc)Understanding of basic enterprise internal processes: Tenders, Projects, Engineering, Industrial, Sourcing, Quality and their interfaces…Sufficient awareness of financial rules and contractual aspects (bonds & guarantees, …)Good communication skill (presentations, synthesis, relationship with contributors ...)Comfortable in an international and a multi-cultural environmentFluent in English: spoken and writtenBehavioural:Results and data driven, Design to Cost spiritRigorous, able to give structure to a collective team workLeadership to achieve results and benefitsCollaborative management, facilitating team working, able to drive a collective team workComfortable in an international and a multi-cultural environmentAbility to deliver on-timeTransparency, autonomy, anticipation, initiative, reactivityTraining to be performed: Alstom financial rules, Design To Cost (for RSC)An agile, inclusive and responsible culture is the foundation of our company where diverse people are offered excellent opportunities to grow, learn and advance in their careers.
