The position is permanent and full-time, connected to our office in Livorno, Italy. Candidates should reside within a daily commuting distance from our office and be European citizens or hold a permanent residency visa.What will you be doingIn this position, you will have the chance to make your mark on the shipping industry. You will be responsible for leading and supervising a dive team directly, overseeing the maintenance and repair of vessels and offshore structures both locally and globally. This will involve a wide range of tasks, from standard upkeep to more complex repair projects, under the direction of our superintendents.The ideal candidate should have a genuine passion for safety, leading people, and the shipping industry. To succeed in this role, you must possess excellent leadership skills, a proactive problem-solving mindset, a strong work ethic, punctuality, a growth mindset and a willingness to coach others continuously.By joining our team, you can contribute to our success while expanding your knowledge and expertise in the field.What are your main tasks and responsibilities?You will be responsible for overseeing and supervising dive project teams that are involved in technical and complex maintenance, overhaul, and repair services. These services may entail using a variety of diving and repair techniques, coordinating with multiple dive teams and supervisors, and working alongside multidisciplinary teams to support various activities.Your responsibilities will also include managing and performing various administrative and logistical aspects of the dive projects and operations.Act as the onsite single point of contact for clients and stakeholders during diving operationsAdditionally, you may be asked to act as a dive supervisor or lead diver in a dive team.What do we expect from you?Have a valid commercial dive supervisor and diving certificate, preferably under the Dutch Certification scheme.Be medically qualified for commercial diving.Have demonstratable experience with leading and managing technically complex dive projects and operations in the shipping industry.Be proficient with Microsoft Office applications, such as Word and Excel.Have excellent administrative and reporting skills.Be a leader that is able to connect people.Have good team and communication skills.Be fluent in English, both verbal and written. Fluency in Dutch is a plus.Have the ability to work under pressure and be flexible when it comes to last-minute changes.Be open to working very frequently overtime, on weekends, and on public holidays.Growth opportunitiesWe are committed to creating a supportive work environment that encourages career development and progression.
