The role involves monitoring, ensuring availability, disaster recovery, and contributing to the evolution of our data stores.This position requires adherence to best practices in Database Management within a Cloud application context, focusing on data scalability, performance, and availability.Main tasks of the position:The candidate will support and consult development teams in designing, setting up, and operating our databases following best practices for managing data in a cloud environment.University Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology Engineering, or comparable work experience.At least 4 years of professional experience in database administration, with a minimum of 2 years in cloud-based distributed applications.Good communication skills and proficiency in English.Requirements:Proven practical knowledge of relational databases (Postgres, SQL Server, H2) and NoSQL databases.Experience in setup, administration, and performance tuning (indexing, query optimization) for cloud applications.Routine experience with patching databases, managing permissions, configuring for high availability, troubleshooting, and setting up metrics and sensors for monitoring.Ability to oversee and influence cloud service providers in infrastructure management and maintenance. Experience in cloud infrastructure data migration, database analysis, design, optimization, testing, and support.Assist in re-architecting database structures to address data security concerns.Additional skills:Experience with data versioning systems (Liquibase, Flyway) and scripted deployment of databases in containerized environments (Kubernetes).Collaboration and work policy:Work closely with agile development teams.Assist developers in designing and tuning databases and queries (Liquibase, Hibernate, SQL); provide analysis and design recommendations.Please note that we have a hybrid working policy, requiring candidates to work on-site 3 days per week.
