Responsibilities
• Responsible for operating Big Data data platforms, both on-premises and in the cloud, implementing batch or real‑time processing pipelines, transformation and processing of structured and unstructured data.
• Autonomous handling of data acquisition, historicalisation, cleansing, anonymisation/crypting/masking, handling of nulls and outliers, aggregation, structuring of unstructured data, creation of quality KPIs, and data preparation for various users including:

Data Scientists using datasets for machine‑learning model development.
Data visualization and Business Intelligence tools.
Logical feeding of relational structures (e.g., DWH) and non‑relational (Graph DB, NoSQL).
External application logic via APIs (e.g., REST).

• Receipt and optimisation of Machine Learning models, applying parallelism for efficient execution and scheduling for automated operation.
• Working with diverse technologies, choosing cloud‑native, globally scalable architectures based on project and client needs.
• Advisory selection of engineering technologies within emerging Big Data architectures, and enhancing existing ecosystems in terms of quality, reuse, and structure.
• Demonstrating and evolving client‑relations capabilities, ensuring the best solution aligned with client requirements.
• Actively contributing to the community through research, scouting, concept development, and business development.
Qualifications

Experience implementing and managing cloud‑based data platforms.
Knowledge of one or more cloud platforms (Google GCP, Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure) and supporting data services.
Experience designing data models and maintaining data pipelines for extraction, transformation, and loading.
Proficiency in programming and querying languages (SQL, Java, Ruby, Python, R, etc.).
Deep knowledge of structured and unstructured database technologies (BigQuery, MongoDB, Hadoop, Redis, etc.).

Plus

Google Professional Data Engineer certification.
Data Engineering on Microsoft Azure credential.
AWS Certified Big Data – Specialty.
