Civil Engineer, Pre-Construction & Permitting

Offer
Conduct desktop assessments and site visits to evaluate access constraints, topography, and suitability of existing roads and slopes during origination and pre-feasibility phases
Design preliminary internal roads, crane pads, and turbine platforms using Civil 3D, AutoTURN, Sierra Roads, or similar tools, considering terrain and transport limitations
Coordinate with subcontractors, consultants, project managers, and environmental specialists to evaluate project viability
Interface with transport contractors to perform road surveys and logistics assessments from delivery points to wind farm sites
Evaluate road adjustments, intervention works, and constraints such as bearing capacity, bridges, tunnels, and regulations
Support estimation of transport interventions and recommend optimal methodologies
Review wind farm designs for compliance with standards for crane pads, access roads, foundations, crossings, earthworks, and temporary works
Verify adherence to local restrictions and technical specifications
Verify bills of quantities and cost evaluations from subcontractors (excavation, transport, materials, site preparation, foundations)
Include accurate cost data in Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) packages
Prepare technical and administrative documentation for permit applications
Participate in public consultations during the permitting process
Inspect and verify the feasibility of sites, logistics areas, access roads, landfalls, storage yards, and harbors for transport and assembly
Follow up with contractors on technical documentation for Met Mast installation
Skills and Experience
Master's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
Willingness to travel 40-50% to project sites across the Mediterranean region
Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D; experience with AutoTURN, Sierra Roads, or similar route design tools is highly desirable; familiarity with GIS tools is an advantage
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Working knowledge of Spanish is a plus
Strategic problem-solving skills for technical challenges in pre-construction
Detail-oriented and safety-focused mindset
Ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams and implement effective action plans
Basic understanding of geotechnical principles and terrain/soil interpretation
