Chief Operating Officer - COO (Manufacturing Company)For our client, a leading manufacturing company servicing the global market, we are recruiting a highly motivated Chief Operating Officer responsible for leading all manufacturing and operations activities across worldwide plants.Position FunctionThe COO will oversee manufacturing and supply chain operations in China, South America, Italy, and Eastern Europe. They should be a hands-on, strategic, and detail-oriented leader with proven experience in operations, supply chain, logistics, quality, and management. The primary focus is to develop and execute an integrated operations strategy that delivers low cost, high quality products, flexibility, and customer satisfaction.Reports ToCEOSupervisesDirector of Supply Chain, Plant Directors, Manufacturing Engineering Manager, Quality Director, Maintenance Managers, Customer Care ManagerEssential Duties and ResponsibilitiesPeople LeadershipCreate a compelling vision and foster team buy-in.Implement two-way communication processes.Provide growth and development opportunities for team members.Develop a culture of execution through performance goal setting and coaching.Ensure customer service commitment is upheld through decision-making.Strategic LeadershipLead manufacturing operations strategic planning and implementation.Identify and evaluate growth opportunities, including flexible manufacturing.Manage and improve operations with a focus on process improvement and bottom-line performance.Operational AccountabilityContribute to strategic management as a member of the executive team.Recommend and implement strategic changes in manufacturing.Manage operations featuring high product mix and configured-to-order processes.Ensure capacity expansion and continuous improvement.Implement reporting tools to monitor results and drive efficiency and effectiveness.Skills/Experience RequirementsMinimum 15 years of leadership in manufacturing, including strategic planning and growth management.Six Sigma Black Belt certification and lean manufacturing experience preferred.Experience restructuring manufacturing footprints and implementing automation.Results-driven with a focus on growth and multi-location operations.Strong influence within matrix organizations and external stakeholders.Proven track record of transforming strategies into measurable results.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; comfortable on the plant floor and with customers.Experience leading change management and cultural shifts.Education RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Operational Leadership, Engineering, or Business; MBA preferred. Training in Demand Flow, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma is a plus.LocationCentral Southern Italy
