DescriptionDeadline Date : Wednesday 7 May 2025Requirement : Senior Technician (ICT Systems)Location : Sigonella ITFull Time OnSite : YesTime OnSite : 100%Total Scope of the request (hours) : 836Required Start Date : 16 June 2025End Contract Date : 31 December 2025Required Security Clearance : NATO COSMIC TOP SECRETDuties and Role :Under the direction of the Branch Head Service Operations and Support, the incumbent will perform duties such as:Executing assigned work orders often under the guidance of centralized services to provide local intervention to ensure SLA targets are met;Providing superior customer service utilizing effective communication techniques;Installing and configuring Desktop Services;Installing, operating, protecting, maintaining, and supporting all local Voice and Data communication networks, Audio/Video, and VTC equipment;Installing, operating, and maintaining Routing and Switching equipment, VoIP, and VTC infrastructures and circuits;Performing advanced analysis and troubleshooting of Desktop Communications and Network Services to support incident management;Testing and evaluating supported hardware and software (firmware and drivers);Managing Incident Support Requests, including creating, reporting, tracking, resolving, and closing incidents;Supporting team members to enhance customer experience through collaboration;Supporting Problem Management through corrective actions under the Branch Head's guidance;Contributing to recommendations for Service Improvement and procurement processes for Operations and Maintenance of approved equipment;Participating in a Duty Support Shift, which may operate 24/7;Deputizing for higher-grade staff if necessary;Performing other duties within the NCI Agency's scope as required.RequirementsSkill, Knowledge & Experience :Must hold an active NATO COSMIC TOP SECRET security clearance;Higher vocational training in a relevant discipline with at least 2 years post-related experience, or secondary education with 4 years post-related experience;Detailed knowledge of LAN and WAN communications, including router/switch-based networks and routing protocols, especially Cisco products;Ability to analyze, assess, and resolve technical issues in troubleshooting environments under time constraints;At least 2 years recent practical experience in CIS Service Operations;Experience configuring, installing, and troubleshooting Windows Operating Systems and Microsoft Office applications;Knowledge of TCP/IP Protocols and Standards;Ability to take initiative and adapt flexibly to changing requirements in demanding environments.Desirable Experience and Education :Knowledge of NATO CIS policies and procedures;Experience maintaining NATO crypto equipment;Experience working in a Service Desk environment;Certification in PC hardware repair and configuration;Formal LAN training;Experience in international military and civilian environments;Knowledge of NATO organizational responsibilities, including ACO and ACT.Required Experience : Senior ICKey Skills :Environment, Domestic, Front Desk Reception, Investment Banking, Anesthesia, Import & ExportEmployment Type : ContractExperience : yearsVacancy : 1
