The role involves managing the entire purchasing process, from handling internal requests to monitoring orders and verifying invoice accuracy.PRIMARY FUNCTIONSCollect, analyze, and process purchase requests from various departments, converting them into purchase ordersMonitor warehouse inventory and manage the reordering of raw materials and consumables required for productionManage relationships with existing suppliers and identify new vendors, negotiating pricing, delivery schedules, and contractual termsTrack the status of orders and follow up on any delays or issuesOversee the receipt of goods and ensure proper acquisition of servicesVerify that invoices accurately reflect the corresponding purchase ordersREQUIRED EDUCATION AND SKILLSBachelor’s degree in Economics or related disciplines (or equivalent experience)2 to 3 years of proven experience in a similar role within a purchasing or procurement departmentExcellent command of English (both written and spoken); knowledge of a second foreign language is considered an assetStrong problem-solving abilities and a results-oriented mindsetHigh level of accuracy, attention to detail, and reliabilityExcellent communication and negotiation skillsStrong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across departmentWORK ENVIRONMENTThis job operates in both an office environment and a manufacturing environment. The role routinely uses standard office equipment, such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. The individual will be required to adhere to safety policies and procedures on the manufacturing floor.PHYSICAL DEMANDLimited physical demand may be needed. Physical demands will involve standing, walking, and occasionally moving or lifting material.POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORKThis is a full-time position, with business core hours of Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm.
