For a prestigious international architectural firm in Milan, we are looking for a Business Development Officer with a VAT number.ResponsibilitiesThe role will involve identifying and managing commercial opportunities aligned with the company’s market positioning strategy. The selected candidate will work in close coordination with internal stakeholders and in synergy with the in-house Tender Office.The role will include a range of activities such as:Researching and monitoring public and private tenders and other business opportunities in line with strategic goalsCoordinating with the in-house Tender Office, particularly for the management of invited competitions, private tenders, and unsolicited applicationsCompleting pre-qualification questionnaires (RFQ/PQQ) and supplier registration forms aimed at generating new business opportunitiesAnalyzing and evaluating Requests for Proposals (RFPs, RFQs, etc.) to support the New Business team in meeting deadlines and requirementsDrafting and assembling technical and financial proposals, including attachments such as references, fee breakdowns, and resource schedules, in coordination with internal stakeholders and external consultantsUpdating Business Development databases (CRM, projects, consultants, contacts)Supporting the organization and maintenance of the Business Development archive (case studies, methodological reports, etc.)RequirementsDegree in Architecture, Engineering, Law, Economics, or related fields3–5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within architectural or engineering firms, or companies managing complex bidsProven ability to manage the full tender process, from opportunity analysis to submissionStrong understanding of public procurement regulations and private bidding proceduresHigh attention to detail and ability to handle multiple deadlines simultaneouslyProficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel; experience with tender platforms and document management tools is an advantageEnglish fluency is mandatory (spoken and written)A strong inclination towards digitalization and proficiency with data and workflow tools such as Power BI, Airtable, and similar platforms is highly valuedSoft skillsExcellent time management and prioritization abilitiesStrong verbal and written communication skillsProactive attitude and team-oriented approachProblem-solving mindset and ability to work under pressureReliability and a high degree of autonomy in managing tasks and workflowsWe offer a freelance collaboration (with a VAT number) with a salary range of €40,000 - €45,000.
