This role will focus on identifying, qualifying, and closing new business within the food manufacturing industry — spanning wholesale, retail, foodservice, and B2B — while also developing existing customer accounts and exploring new categories and territories.What your job includesDevelop and execute a growth-focused business development strategy for the Italian food manufacturing marketIdentify, approach, and engage with potential clients as well as contract manufacturers and supply chain partnersPromote OSI’s technical food solutions including custom manufacturing solutions and value-added services tailored to client needsBuild and maintain a strong and sustainable sales pipeline across relevant sectors.Generate new business opportunities and optimize existing account potential as requiredLead bid proposal, tenders and contract negotiations with support from Technical and Commercial teamsMonitor market trends, customer feedback and category performance to identify new areas for developmentRepresent OSI at trade fairs and industry events across ItalyWhat we expect from youSeveral years of experience in business development, sales or key account management within the food manufacturing or related sectorsA strong professional network within the Italian food manufacturing, wholesale, retail, or B2B industriesA proven track record of generating and converting new business opportunitiesAn entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to identify and act on self-generated leadsStrong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the confidence to engage senior stakeholders in Italian and EnglishCommercial and analytical acumen, with a data-driven approach to decision-makingWillingness to travel across Italy for client meetings and industry eventsWhat we offer youWe are a company with flat hierarchies, value-based corporate culture and a pronounced customer orientation in a special market.
